There is a new Apple Orchard opening north of town. For details see video. In other news Scott shows off his excellent live-ad reading skills.
AMIA is open to advertising/sponsorship opportunities of all kinds. Really, just e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s talk about it, no harm in that.
Join Sarah, Scott, Shaine, Dylan and Bill as they welcome Brian Bieber into the studio (which has moved into a new facility and is quite lovely) to talk Argus 911 not re-tweeting Scott, the Art Faire downtown, DIY ethics living even today and an hour of all things Bieber. His new book, the My DJ video, early influences and growing-up without giving up.
Local SFX writer/artist Brian Bieber stopped by the basement to discuss keeping the DIY spirit (not the channel those posers) alive into adulthood, Punk Rock as a gateway drug and his first experience in self-publishing. All that and a lot more on the podcast.

His new book “Nickel Plated Gold” is available now and really, really good…get it
Join Scott, Sarah, Bill and Shaine as we sit down in the Log Cabin this week with the writer, co-directors and a cast member (Dominic Wineke, Jesse Yost and Lena Howe, respectively) from local horror feature Death Rot. We talk about the impending premiere on September 12th and play a successful round of our new game “What did the super drunk people say about horror films?” and a not so successful round of “Weiner Text or Erotica”.
Phone calls do not improve, our overall attitudes do. Round 2 of Smartest Band in Sioux Falls is announced and it’s “Tennessee Murder Club vs. Union Grove Pickers”. God help us all.
Argus 911 refuses to re-tweet Scott even as he faces certain danger and a long series of rabies shots. We leap the gnashing teeth of rejection and swing on a rope of love to Xanadu in old-timey AMIA style.
Local writer/artist Brian Bieber stopped by the studio this week to talk about his new book “Nickel Plated Gold”. Along the way we covered DIY ethics surviving in 2013, gnashing opossums and what it really takes to make your own art in todays world.
Brian was really fun to talk to and we hope he’ll sit in with us again as soon as possible. Until then pick up a copy of his new book at www.ghostsandhorses.com or at Zandbros Variety in Downtown Sioux Falls. He will be doing a reading and book signing there this Thursday September 12th at 7pm and an event in Minneapolis next month.
Check him out and support a great local artist.
